The three design principles(if any) that could be considerd more carefully, I would have to say are 1) The % of negative space 2) Visual flow and 3) Contrast in scale. More variation in text size would deal with the % of negative space and contrast in scale. Leaving more negative space to adjust placement and improve visual flow. In your personality trait Athletic I think would be better represented by using text that better represents typical athletic lettering and colors. I think that would express its meaning more directly.
These are awesome designs! I feel that maybe the rule of thirds could have been applied more. It is also hard to find a focal point due to the same size of the words.
